This week’s meditation
Out with the old, in with the new.
Interestingly enough, two of our friends had a joint replacement last week (I think this says something about the age of the company we keep.) One hip riddled with arthritis and one knee suffering after years of abuse on the football field. I think it is great that after having such a significant surgery, that our friends will undergo some rehabilitation and then be able to jump right back into enjoying life without the aches and pains they have been experiencing. But it is not only joints that can be rejuvenated, it can also happen to our spirits! And in even better news, we do not need a replacement to achieve a great result. By the grace of God, our souls are able to be renewed and refreshed, allowing us to live a life free of pain and misery.
This week, let's focus on thanking God that regardless of how scarred our spirit is, he is willing and able to renew it.
