This week’s meditation - Gardener's joy.
I am delighted - for the first time in many years we have a rhododendron which is not only flowering but doing so prolifically. The beautiful blooms are light pink with a deep crimson throat. A couple of months ago I happened to be listening to the Gardening Show and the host recommended 'now is the time to apply iron chelate (an iron supplement) into the soil for your rhodies', a recommendation I followed. Also, there has been plenty of spring rain and the occasional ray of sunshine. I don't know what has worked to make our tree flower, maybe it is a combination of all those things, all I know is that the result is spectactular. It is a bit like our faith; if we are consistent with a steady application of Godly things, the result will be greater faith. There are many supplements available to us; reading our bibles, listening to and playing Christian music, coming along to church are a few examples. Best of all, we get to speak to the head gardner any time, not just 7-9am on a Saturday morning.
This week let us make great use of the Christian materials that surround us.
